Women's Advocacy
Yvonne Boice has received many awards for her role as a business
leader and a dynamic success story. As a female owner of a thriving
shopping center and a travel agency, she has been recognized for
her business acumen and ability to succeed in the face of obstacles.
However, all of these important business lessons were more than
just stories to her, they were opportunities to mentor women in
business, both here and abroad.
Yvonne has been active in numerous mentorship activities at Palm
Beach State College, Lynn University and Northwod College. Her
leadership and inspiring advice, brought her to the attention of the
US government, who thought she would be a tremendous representative at women’s international business conferences. In recent years, Boice has been selected to represent The United States at four high-profile women’s international business conferences.
Karen Hughes, the Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, chose Yvonne as one of six delegates to the MENA (Middle East and North African) Women’s Conference held in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Paula Dobriansky, the Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs, appointed Yvonne to attend at the Global Summit of Women in Berlin and for the Global Summit of Women in Hanoi. Yvonne also traveled to Santa Cruz, Bolivia to address women and encourage them to take political action.
